The Eliot Partnership (TEP) was formed in June 2004 by Mike Eliot-Higgitt. Having spent 7 years developing and growing his previous company, where annual turnover was approaching £1m, Mike felt it was time to seek a new challenge, and concentrate on providing hands-on project services to the network of clients with whom he has built up close working relationships. This change allows him to spend his working hours concentrating on service provision, rather than company management & staff issues.
We are currently working on several insolvency cases with Poppleton & Appleby, where we have written project financial reports, to support the statement of affairs, based upon our assessment of the debtor book, including making an adjustment to the figures where we believe the Directors have overstated the debt. We are involved on an on-going basis, including agreement of accounts, site visits to agree significant defects, resolving contractual disputes and chasing outstanding retentions
Mike is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 30 years experience gained on a wide variety of projects encompassing all spheres of the Construction Industry. Mike is proud to be considered part of his client’s in-house teams, due to the close, personal working relationships he builds with his clients. This includes providing cost control services to Mitchells and Butlers for 17 years, including project management works in the last five years. Mike is pleased to have provided multi-disciplinary services to Coventry University for over 5 years, and continues to work with CU on an on-going basis.
TEP strive to provide high quality pro-active commercial advice, allowing their clients to make sound decisions relating to their development at the earliest opportunity, and recognise the strategic importance of meeting programmed targets and providing efficient, flexible responses to our client’s requirements.
Mike’s forte is working on fast track fit out projects, where close liaison is required between end users, Estates departments, and the wide range of contractors, sub-contractors and direct suppliers required to achieve successful completion.
Our services are tailored around our clients needs for cost control, rather than traditional cost reporting ensuring our clients are able to spend money where they want to, rather than just reporting how much has been spent, after the event..
To support TEP when workload is high, we have two associated companies, Martin Erlandsen Management and Kavanagh Associates, both of whom have worked with Mike for a number of years providing supporting Quantity Surveying Services, and have developed an understanding of the way Mike meets the needs of his clients.
